The concept of a pocket pH meter was first introduced in 1986 by Hanna Instruments. The HI-98108 is the latest in this family of pocket size electronic meters for testing pH. A large LCD display is incorporated giving clear and precise readout of pH values measured.

The HI-98108 offers increased accuracy when measuring solutions at different temperatures as it automatically measures the temperature and compensates the pH reading accordingly. Designed to be used away from the laboratory, the electrode is protected within the case molding and battery life is a useful 700 hours continuous use.
